Unfamiliar with the way design projects work? No worries, let’s walk through the process together to get you up to speed. If you have any questions at the end, please reach out and we’ll answer them to the best of our abilities. And away we go…
Project Consultation & Design Proposal with Project Estimate
We’ll discuss the goals & audience of your design project to create a proposal that best suits your needs. Your timeline and budget are taken into account to ensure we can make your project feasible.
Design Research
After approving the design proposal papercut will analyze where your brand & identity stands compared to who you consider the competition and who we consider your competition. Our helpful design audit will make it easier for us figure out together what next steps are necessary to further your brand.
Conceptual Development
This is the super visually gratifying part. We’ll establish the look and feel of the project by giving several options depending on the design proposal. Our design solutions can even be in the form of a live promotional event with branded materials such as mini-site or program. You can even include a targeted email newsletter into the mix to keep your audience engaged and loyal.
Once you choose the best way forward, the next step is to apply the concepts across the whole project. We normally split the conceptual development and production into two different phases so we don’t put the horse before the cart.
Production
Okay, now we’ve brainstormed, designed & chosen your best option, this is where our design & coding production elves work their magic. Papercut then builds out your project to the specs and you get a full working model of your design project. We’ll send it to you for proofreading and vetting whether it’s a web site, brochure or business card. Send us your changes and approvals then we move on to…
Refinement, Launch & Delivery
Also known as celebration! We’ll do a group hug, have that extra slice of cake and then get down to the business of making the good vibes continue by analyzing what we just accomplished. We can figure out how to further maintain the project we just launched together and how to grow your new audience.
The Money { aka Keeping Peace of Mind }
We’re big believers in peace of mind. This is why we prefer to create project estimates based on fixed project rates instead of hourly. We track our time and know how long different elements take. By billing at a fixed rate, we help both sides avoid watching the clock and developing mental clutter over what should be an exciting experience. This structure keeps us focused on the task at hand: your design project.
